This series just gets better with each book. We met Diedre and Aidan in the previous books. They clearly have a love/hate relationship going on. This book starts a year after Diedre left and she is back...just not alone. She has Diesel, the new love of her life. He just happens to be small and wearing diapers. Sometimes you realize you were missing something in your life and just didn't know what that was, until you are looking into the eyes of a little person you created. Aidan and Diedre think the other has moved on with their lives. Clearly that isn't the case.Kathy has a way of creating these characters that draws you in and won't let go. You feel like you are a part of their families/groups. Absolutely loving this series. Seeing these big, strong, powerful men being brought to their knees by equally strong women is amazing.

These books just keep getting better and better!!! I am loving my read through of this series! There is action, adventure, so much story and enough steam to melt your reading device!
They might all be criminals, but there is something to be said for honor among thieves… These characters are a family above all else and I absolutely love them.
Aidan and Deidre’s story did disappoint. These two were absolutely perfect together, the way they fiercely love their little boy, the way they will do anything for each other and their family just warms your heart. The way the fall together between the sheets warms the rest of your body lol.
Thanks for another great read, Ms. Coopmans! I can’t wait to dive into Dilan’s story…
You can't help but fall in love with Aidan. The dirty-talking, thief for the mafia who is also a protector of his family, selfless and caring but most of all a great dad, devoted lover and a romantic in his own right. Romance is always hearts and flowers. It's knowing your other half and giving them what you know they'll want rather than giving the stereotypical gifts. And boy does Aidan deliver - he gives as good as he gets with Deidre.
Deidre is feisty, smart-mouthed and stubborn. She's a fighter but that's what's allowed her to physically survive all that she's been through. She gets her motivation for living and healing from her little man. The love of a mother is one that can not be questioned when it comes to Diesel.
The physical attraction and push and pull of Aidan and Deidre are apparent from the moment they're in the same room. They go head to head with each other - their banter is intense foreplay for the explosion that will inevitably happen between them sexually. H.O.T. Their love is all consuming yet endearing at the same time.
Kathy Coopmans has the ability to provide you with a story that captivates you, entertains you and has you reading on just to see what happens next. AND while she provides you with all you could want with the main characters, she's also developing the sub-characters so that they too are pulled into the storyline and sets up the perfect transitions to the next release.

So when i was doing my pre-orders for the week my eyes are drawn to this cover. This gorgeous cover. This cover that had me bringing the laptop closer to my eyes.
So I didn't want to go in not knowing the rest of the other books. So I settled in and binged on all two books. From the minute I opened Cain I couldn't and I mean couldn't put it down.Finally the wait was over. Midnight struck and I got the book. Sigh. It was on!

Ok so Aidan, Aidan, Aidan. I hands down claim you. You are mine. When you got glimpses of him in the other two book you always wondered what his story was. And then Roans book happened and you sit there shaking. Wondering. Hoping. Praying. That this nightmare would over come him
Well it wasn't it was far from ok. It was hard. It was dark. It was brutal.
I felt helpless.
Defeated.

Ok this woman, I tip my hat to her. Not only did she survive something that was so traumatic she did it on her own terms.
But she couldn't do it on her own she needed help.

Yup you said it. She comes back with Aidan's son. A clone really. Was it planned? No. Was it a gift? Yes. Was it everything that he has every wanted in his whole life? Yes Yes and Yes
So Aidan does what Aidan does he bulldozes his way into living with them. I mean come on who is going to stop him. The minute these two set eyes on each other, the chemistry is explosive. It's panty melting. It's heart palpitating.
So one thing leads to another. And another things leads to another, and now they are a family. Not only does Aidan jump into father hood, he's ready to take everything by the horn. But you know it can't be that easy. Nope not a Kathy Coopmans book!
You see there are secrets.

I read this book in one sitting. I stayed up till my eyes felt like sandpaper. I stayed till the end. I just couldn't go to bed without knowing how this would all end. It was just that good!!!
It also left you with question for the next book. Questions that I plan to find the answers to!
