I attended the same church and known the folks in this book. I never knew this took place as God sent me away for 8 years. During that time frame this book was written. It is so sad the author experienced the pains her and her daughters faced. I faced similar ignoring from the church and some behaviors that I questioned and struggled with my personal walk with God. Though I love the Lord with all my heart. I loved these pastors mentioned in this book with all my heart. But was greatly devastated by this information, and how it effects many of the individuals who artended there. I am thankful this book was written, as I too wrote my own for many years. Churches sometimes fall away and or fail to teach the Gospel of Jesus. I certainly desire God to touch these peoples lives and change them from the inside out. I am in agreement with the truth this book brings and without having read it. I would of been without my questions of my church and behaviors unanswered. Author is a woman I understand and relate to. Thank you for sharing this with the world. God is the healer in those dark moments where the enemy snags you or tries to destroy you and overcoming this...battle is the truth one seeks in Christ and not in a church led by dangerous leaders. This is an inspiration and once again...I been there too. You have to pray always in good and bad times for people to see Jesus. He is the light of the world and he died for our sins; when we look to him above all else. He shows us the way. The way is into the real arms of the loving Jesus. Sometimes we can not be accepted in churches; but our acceptance is in Heaven when we touch others lives with who God is. He is love and we have to learn, experience and grow in order to find out how wonderful he really is. He is a good good Father and this is a blessed author. Im sorry to have read some of the darkest moments our church shown, how it hurts and ignores people. But, when we stand up on whats Gods truth we can lead and guide many others in the right path.
